FAQ - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
 
1) How long has WatchBank been in business?
WatchBank has been online since 1 September 2007. But the company has been publishing glossy magazines such as Horloges Magazine, WatchWorld and A Girl’s Best Friend for more than fifteen years as a subsidiary of the MotoMax Media BV publishing company. With these titles the company holds a leading position in the world of luxury watches and jewellery. MotoMax Media is based in Almere in The Netherlands, as is the international headquarters of WatchBank B.V.
 
2) Are the watches actually sold by WatchBank? 
No. WatchBank brings supply and demand together and simply facilitates the sale.
 
3) So who actually sells the watches?
The watches are offered for sale by jewellers who are certified dealers in new and used luxury watches. Your watch will be sent to you directly by the jeweller.
 
4) How can I be sure that I am getting a really good and authentic watch?
All participating jewellers are carefully monitored by WatchBank as well as being monitored by the watch manufacturers for whom they act as authorised dealers. In other words, all watches come from a reliable source. They do not come from private individuals.
 
5) Are the watches in good condition? 
Unless otherwise indicated, all of the watches have been inspected and possibly reconditioned by the jeweller or watch manufacturer. You will be getting a properly serviced watch that works perfectly. The actual condition of the watch is indicated by a star system, so you know what to expect.
 
6) Does WatchBank also sell new watches?
No. All of the watches we sell have been used. However, some of the watches may not have been worn. These are models that were dropped from the watch manufacture’s collection more than a year ago.
 
7) Does WatchBank also trade watches?
No. WatchBank can not in any way participate in trading watches. The watches on the WatchBank website are for sale only.
 
8) Where can I find your Terms of Use?

9) Do you offer a warranty?
The jeweller selling the watch guarantees the authenticity of the watch. And unless otherwise indicated the watches are covered by a guarantee issued by the jeweller or manufacturer.
 
10) Can I offer a watch for sale via WatchBank?
No. Private individuals cannot offer watches for sale via WatchBank. If you want to sell your watch via WatchBank, you will need to contact a jeweller who is affiliated with WatchBank. 
 
11) What are your shipping charges?
Delivery within The Netherlands is included in the price. The jeweller selling the watch may add a surcharge of € 25.00 for delivery to other EU countries. And a surcharge of € 50.00 may be added for delivery to countries outside of the EU.
 
12) Will the watch be insured during transport?
Yes. The jeweller selling the watch will see to it that the watch is insured during transport.
 
13) Do I have to pay Customs Duty if I buy from abroad?
Yes. Duties and taxes have to be paid by the purchaser. Please contact your local Customs Office for more information.
 
14) How long will it take for my package to be delivered?
Watches purchased via WatchBank are usually delivered to destinations within The Netherlands within the next 2 days. They often arrive the day after they were posted.
 
15) How do I send a package to WatchBank?
If you want to return a watch you must send an email to contact@watchbank.eu to let us know that you wish to return the watch. Watches must be returned within five working days of receipt. Please send your package to:

16) How do I pay for my watch?
If you have a bank account in The Netherlands or Belgium, you can pay via Ideal or MrCash – the payment systems used by Dutch and Belgian banks. If you have a bank account in any other country you can arrange a bank transfer via your own online payment system. Our bank details are as follows:
